Good Shepherd School Celebrates Dr Seuss' Birthday

Good Shepherd takes part in Dr. Seuss' READ ACROSS AMERICA.  The week long event will consist of days dedicated to certain activities. The following are planned:
  • Mixed Up Monday: Celebration begins. Wear mixed up clothing (shirts on backwards, inside- out, etc.)  Donate a book to the library and have your name inscribed on its nameplate.
  • Top Hot Tuesday: Each 5/6 grader will read a Dr. Seuss Book to each of the PreK classes, Kindergarten and 1st/2nd grade in the library.
  • Wacky Wednesday: Wear a hat to school. Focus is on “The Cat in the Hat.”  Each class will decorate their doors as book jackets of popular Dr. Seuss books.
  • Theodore Thursday: Wear silly socks. From 8am-11am we will have “Muffins for Moms and Donuts for Dads” to invite parents into the school.
  • Funny Food Friday: Special Hot Lunch of Green Eggs and Ham, fruit, milk, cupcakes.  All classrooms will be given a copy of the Seuss book “Green Eggs and Ham.”
